Petra Health Centre, located directly across from the WestGate Shopping Centre at 1316 Carling Avenue has a treatment philosophy founded on three pillars of health care:
1 – massage therapy,
2 – physical therapy and rehabilitation
3 - nutrition and alternative medicine.
These pillars provide patients with a well-rounded and complete treatment plan to meet individual needs at one centre. Clients don't have to worry about traveling to various centres for treatment and they can be absolutely certain that each step in their voyage to better health and well being is coordinated by accredited professionals who confer with each other to ensure that client physical care and health are the top priorities. All the details are taken care of, leaving the patient to concentrate on recuperation and return to a normal lifestyle.
Physical pain and tension as a result of an injury or illness can greatly disrupt an individual's life and in many cases this disruption can cause one to quickly spiral into deeper afflictions unless an effective assessment is completed and treatment plan is developed.
They offer Swedish, Deep-Tissue, Neuromuscular, Hot-Stone, and Trigger-Point massage as well as Cranioscaral Therapy, Reflexology, Lymphatic Drainage and Reiki treatments.
Owner and registered massage therapist Petra Ciobanu, has a solid background in sports and physical education. She also represented her home country of Romania at the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
